“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ―
It’s already October and my 2018 travels have taken me to 16 countries and have been filled with countless adventures. The world is an amazing place and in our lifetimes most of us see only a fraction of what it has to offer. Some might say that my goal is to see as much as possible in my life but in reality I just want to enjoy as much as possible everything that this amazing world has to offer.
My travels have been keeping me so busy that blog posts have gotten pushed to the bottom of the “to-do” list and rather than abandoning the idea totally a change is in order. With an expanding interest in photography and a new Instagram account (a great place to share photos) I have been exploring ways to combine Instagram with this WordPress blog. So far there hasn’t been an easy solution, but I will continue to work on the best way to better bring views of the world to my faithful readers. To summit up
This continues to be a crazy busy year with International travel and between trips buying a house and moving my few possessions into the new home base. Several folks have asked if this means a slowdown in my travels and the answer is an unequivocal “NO”. I still have travel plans for 2019 and beyond as the world is a big place…..

So I ask that you bear with me “blogwise” as I play around with the best way to share glimpses of our beautiful planet through the eyes of this insignificant photographer & travel blogger.
To sum it up the mellifluous words from the soundtrack of Disney’s Aladdin: “A whole new world; a dazzling place I never knew.” Really say it all.
Our amazing world, however absurd, dangerous, or harsh, is a fine place to live. The world is special because of its inhabitants.
If you think about it, our world is a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, landscapes, colors and people. Technology has helped to diffuse boundaries, whether physical or cultural. We call our world a “global village” because though we belong to different countries, we are essentially a single race.
Cherish our world and protect it from destruction. This planet is our home, we are its caretaker and I hope to inspire friends far and wide with glimpses of our special planet and its amazing inhabitants both natural and cultural throughout the world.
